*Bafuli Camara was born in the Republic of Guinea, west Africa. He has been an artist since he was a young boy and later on joined the group, Les Deux Attaques de Yattayah, in his homeland. Because of his experience in this group he was invited to join Sopac de Nongo. He did many national tours with this group. He worked on the first album of the singer Chagana Bamba titled “Samedi Bere”. In 2012 Bafuli came to Greece. In 2015 he began learning the Djembe at ANASA Cultural Centre. Several months later he joined Ubuntu Drum and Dance Group as a dancer. He has performed in Athens and other parts of Greece in various festivals. He teaches African traditional dances and ‘Coupe Decaler’, a popular fun dance from the Ivory Coast. At the end of 2016 Bafuli travelled to Paris where he was assistant dance teacher in the African dance school called Mic de Palaisseau with Amy Traore, a choreographer from Burkina Faso. Upon his return to Athens, Bafuli rejoined Ubuntu and is now giving traditional African dance lessons in the Victoria Square Project.
*Ο Bafuli Camara γεννήθηκε στη Δημοκρατία της Γουινέας στη δυτική Αφρική. Είναι καλλιτέχνης από τότε που ήταν μικρό παιδί και αργότερα εντάχθηκε στην ομάδα, Les Deux Attaques de Yattayah, στην πατρίδα του. Λόγω της εμπειρίας του σε αυτή την ομάδα, προσκλήθηκε να συμμετάσχει στη Sopac de Nongo, με την οποία έκαναν πολλές περιοδείες. Συνεργάστηκε στο πρώτο άλμπουμ της τραγουδίστριας Chagana Bamba με τίτλο “Samedi Bere”. Το 2012 ο Bafuli ήρθε στην Ελλάδα. Το 2015 άρχισε να μαθαίνει Djembe στο Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο ANASA. Λίγους μήνες αργότερα εντάχθηκε στο Ubuntu Drum & Dance Group ως χορευτής. Έχει εμφανιστεί στην Αθήνα και σε άλλες περιοχές της Ελλάδας σε διάφορα φεστιβάλ. Διδάσκει τους αφρικανικούς παραδοσιακούς χορούς και το «Coupe Decaler», έναν δημοφιλή χορό διασκέδασης από την Ακτή Ελεφαντοστού. Στα τέλη του 2016 ο Bafuli ταξίδεψε στο Παρίσι, όπου ήταν βοηθός καθηγητής χορού στο αφρικανικό σχολείο χορού Mic de Palaisseau με την Amy Traore, χορογράφο της Μπουρκίνα Φάσο. Με την επιστροφή του στην Αθήνα, ο Bafuli επανήλθε στους Ubuntu και τώρα δίνει παραδοσιακά αφρικανικά μαθήματα χορού και στο Victoria Square Project.
